On Friday 19th April over 150 children and families attended the Easter event arranged by the charity trustees and some of their army of volunteers. Not only did local families attend, but it was a chance to spoil some of the local families and children we have supported over the last few years, and of course a chance to see beautiful Ruby.

The weather was absolutely incredible; blazing sunshine and not a cloud in sight. Anita, Natasha, Caroline and Karen were there with their own families from 11am-4pm guiding families through arts&crafts and a fantastic egg hunt, all finished off with meeting the Easter Bunny himself. We also received some support from other volunteers throughout the day and we could not have been more grateful for all the help and hard work that went into making the event a success.

The event was supported with generous egg & craft donations by several fantastic companies and charities meaning every penny raised could go towards supporting families. These included Kent Reliance, OSB (One Savings Bank), Young Lives Foundation, Scallywags Nursery and The Gym Thanet Westwood Cross. We also received donations from many friends of the charity trustees and members of the public which was so kind and humbling.

Three local companies came along on the day to provide some delicious food/drinks and face painting, and they all helped to contribute to our fundraising total which was so generous. Huge thanks to Susie's Snacks, Fundaes Ices and Sally-Ann's Face Painting. They kept everyone so happy in the sunshine and helped put smiles on so many faces.

The final fundraising total was £1300 - a fantastic amount! Thank you so much to everyone who supported the event, we look forward to running more in the future xxx

Just a snapshot of some of our trustees and volunteers in action, and of course the Easter Bunny!
